Infinite Choices

At one point or another in your life I'm sure that you've stopped and said, "How am I supposed to make this decision?". I must admit, sometimes I cover my eyes thinking the choice will choose itself. Silly, it most definitely does not. A lot of the time I make decisions based on how it feels, it has to "feel right". But sometimes there are no feelings, or the same amount between the options.

There are an endless amount of choices you make conciously and subconciously in your life.Whether it's the type of computer to buy, the type of software you use, the clothes you wear, the food you eat, the people you date, the car you drive, the home you buy, your religion, to cross the street or wait, to have a child or not, do I wear my hair curly or straight, do I get tattoos, who do I become friends with, who do I stray away from, do I go to that baseball game, do I stay in and sleep, what to study in school, what to do with your professional career, what color to paint your nails, what kind of insurance to buy, do I post thing, do I check in here, do I continue my education past bachelors, do I pay for my sons college degree, do I get an alarm system, do I invite that neighbor over, do I let this person get close, who do I really tell my feelings to.

My English teacher would massacre me if she saw that increibly long run-on sentence. But seriously? There are so many choices you make in your life that has very little impact on your life, and some that have a significant impact. It just blows my mind sometimes to think of how much different your life would be if at one moment in your life you chose a different path. And to think about the infinite different outcomes. Sometimes the things we think would make a huge impact have little, and visa versa.

Fate is a big component of outcomes, regardless our imput into this world with the choices we make it's bound to happen. I get that.

But sometimes I wish I had a "Little book of choices Stephanie should and shouldn't make", don't you? You try to make lists of positives and negatives, you try to get real life stories of each side. You try to make the most informed decision you can... But sometimes (a lot of times) you hope you made the right decision and prepare for the worst.

Our life is about experiences and at the end of the day each decision allows you to have a new one. No great rewards come without risk. And that is what life is all about, taking risks. You have one life, live it to it's fullest. You'll never know what day will be your last with your friends and family.
