San Diego Vacation

I'm bacccckkkkk!

We enjoyed ourselves SO MUCH on this little vacation, I love spending time with my sister in law. She's the most upbeat, positive and laid back person you'll ever meet. She lives SUPER close to the beach which is really nice.

But, the trip didn't start out so awesome. Friday after hubs got off of work we started to head out of town and made it all the way to Gila Bend (about an hour from our house, but an hour and half from hubs work where we started), pulled into a gas station and that's when it hit me- where in the H is my PURSE?? All of our vacation money, my ID, our health insurance cards (obvs important when traveling with a kiddo).. So we had to turn around.

Enter sad face..

By the time we made it back to the house it was close to 7pm which means we wouldn't even make it until 1am so we decided to stay at our house and leave in the AM. Oh, and I found my purse.. in a very weird place for me- the laundry room..

In the morning we took off at around 8am and make it by one. We started off my visiting the beach and eating at this bomb restaurant.

Then we headed back to el casa and went on a mini bike ride..

And then chowed down at a Thai restaurant.. (which Cam LOVED)

The next day was Easter Sunday, and bear woke up to a cute little basket left from the Easter bunny filled with colors, spiderman papers, spiderman underwear, spiderman rash guard, spider man eggs with candy, bubbles.. you know, all the spiderman essentials. We had an Easter egg hunt on the beach and then my sister and brother in law came into town and the three ladies in the house cooked while hubs and his brother caught up on life. Bro in laws birthday is next weekend so we threw in a mini celebration as well..It was a wonderful day! There are many recipes that came from this day.. and will be in an additional blog. But it included a spiral ham, green beans with bacon and mushrooms, bacon and cheddar cheese potatoes, hawaiian rolls, fruit salad, coconut cream pie, and apple pie!

The next day was Monday and we were having monday blues..

NOT

We took a really long drive along the coast up to Del Mar and ate at "Chiefs Burgers and Brew" and it was ammmmazing! We then stopped at Torrey Pines State Park and hiked up two trails that were gorgeous. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves..

Tuesday was NOT supposed to be our last day, but we started thinking about the drive back and how we needed to get a few things done around the house before we go back to work Thursday so we spent half the day there and when it was little bears time for nap we loaded up the car and drove home. It's always sad to leave such a happy place..

And now we are back! Made it in great time and we will spend the day getting our house back together and car shopping (woohoo, eyes rolling).
